Bob Burggraf starts R&B Appliance Service by servicing home appliances in the evenings.
1969
R&B Appliance Service becomes the Authorized Service Center for Caloric Corporation.
1974
Mr. Burggraf takes over a retail appliance store called Adasen Appliance in South Gate, CA.
1979
Adasen Appliance begins sub-distributing Litton Commercial microwaves in Southern California.
1980
Caloric Corporation decides to service their own appliances. They appoint R&B Appliance
Service as the Western Regional Parts Distributor and R&B Appliance Parts is born. This department
begins carrying parts for Brown, Caloric, Glenwood, Hardwick, Modern Maid, and Sunray.
1981
R&B Appliance Parts opens Adasen Commercial Sales. They become the official Litton
Microwave distributor.
1982
Adasen Commercial Sales opens a branch in Phoenix, AZ. The two divisions are renamed
Adasen Distributing of Arizona and Adasen Distributing of California.
1983
Adasen of Arizona enters the home appliance industry. They become the Kelvinator,
Charmglow, Fedders, Brown, Premier, and Hardwick distributor.
1984
Adasen of California becomes the Amana Commercial Microwave distributor for all of
Arizona, California, and Nevada. Also, the company expands into janitorial supplies and
outdoor power equipment.
1986
R&B Appliance Parts purchases their first commercial building in Phoenix, AZ.
1987
R&B Appliance Parts moves facilities from South Gate, CA to Chino, CA.
1988
R&B Appliance Delivery enters the home appliance installations business. They do installs
for major manufacturers as well as Price Club (now Costco).
1991
Adasen of Arizona becomes the Crosley Distributor when Kelvinator decides to sell direct.
1991
Adasen of Arizona purchases a larger distribution facility in Phoenix, AZ.
1992
R&B Appliance Parts expands into the builder appliance / property management business.
1992
Adasen of California becomes the master distributor for Rubbermaid and expands
foodservice supply lines.
1995
R&B Appliance Parts acquires G&S Distributors (G&S), the Crosley distributor for
Southern California.
1998
R&B Appliance Parts begins phasing out of the parts business and focusing more on
distribution of appliances, electronics, and restaurant equipment.
1998
G&S and Adasen of Arizona become the Zenith Distributor for Arizona and
Southern California.
1998
G&S and Adasen of Arizona become the Sanyo Distributor for Arizona and
Southern California.
1999
Adasen of California and of Arizona drop Amana Commercial Microwaves and
become the Sharp Commercial Microwaves Distributor while adding five additional equipment lines.
2001
G&S expands into furniture.
2002
All companies under the R&B Appliance Parts umbrella are renamed to R&B Wholesale
Distributors, Inc. (R&B).
2002
R&B expands into Northern California.
2002
R&B becomes the Franklin Motion Furniture distributor.
2002
R&B becomes the Haier Distributor.
2003
R&B opens and moves our main offices to a new facility in Ontario, CA.
2004
R&B becomes the Speed Queen and LG Electronics distributor.
2005
R&B moves its Union City branch to Hayward, CA.
2006
R&B becomes the Danby distributor.
2006
R&B becomes the Sharp distributor for Southern California for home appliances.
2006
R&B becomes the Sanyo HD Pro Series TV distributor.

R&B becomes the Sirius Range Hoods distributor for California.
2007
R&B becomes the Sharp distributor for Northern California for home appliances.

R&B becomes the Broan distributor for Arizona.
ack in 1968, Bob Burggraf borrowed his first month rent, and with $40 he opened a small appliance
service company. At that time, he was working as a service manager at another company and decided
to make appliance service calls in the evening. Within a short period of time, he was able to quit his
service manager position and work full time on his own. With hard work and perseverance, he has turned
that $40 into a $50M a year company.
